I LOVE the cover of your journal. Since I don't sew I get to ask you dumb questions: Did you just glue the felt on and then applicat (how do you spell that? ;c) ) the bird on top? Did you wrap the felt around the inside cover as well?
Very nice.
BTW, when I read your journal entry I wondered if your mother is my mother too!

Thanks! :) I adhered the fabric and felt to the large piece with double sided fabric adhesive before sewing it on. Then I adhered the entire piece to the journal with excess on each side. I cut a notch out of the corners. The folded each side down (on the backside) and adhered that. Then I covered the inside with cardstock. :)
