reflection
It has been SO long since I had a proper Illustration Friday contribution. I've either been without ideas, a scanner, or supplies for weeks. This week's theme is "Reflection". I chose to make an illustration depicting journaling since that's something important to me and my own self-reflection. You can find some of my journal entries here.

Wow...I just had a great time watching a Flickr slideshow of your journaling - great stuff! I really like this picture too, and journaling is a wonderful thing to depict for "reflection". Nice work!
Joleen, I've enjoyed reading your blog. This illustration is adorable. I need to practice my own whimsy illustration style more--this little girl you sketched is very sweet. :) You've inspired me to get out some colored pencils and create some make-believe "kids".
