contest, contest!

contest
So, it's well past New Year's Day but I've been meaning to have a contest for over a week now. Where are you?! I think everyone went on holiday and forgot to come back. Or is it that we're all just super busy getting back to the day-to-day? Leave a comment by midnight Thursday (01/12) and tell me what you've been up to to be entered in the contest. :) The winner will recieve a package with all kinds of mixed media/collage/craft art items. It's a surprise!

hmm, what have i been up to lately? trying to find homes for the kids' new toys, anticipating the arrival of spring, sewing clothes for my daughters' dolls, trying to get myself out of a funk and back into a creative groove, seeking time and energy to update my website, reading The Artist's Way, art journaling, among a thousand or so other things...

Hi !! Well if I should explain what I've been up these last few weeks I would tell that I was thinking how great and huge things happened these past few months in my life thanks to the blogger's world ! Yep ! I met incredible people, share so inspiration ideas, made great friends and feel so deeply happy that I found again the real "taste" of making crafty things. "Taste" that I losted so much years ago. It was grey and now there's a rainbow that bring me each day a new idea to create by myself and give me the feeling of excitement !!! ;o) So I've been up to make the bigger list of crafty things to make for the decades to come !!!!! LOL and Oups I forgot : (in secret) I've been up too to think about making another baby during this 2006 new year !!! Smooches !

Hi Joleen,

I'm here, I'm here and have been reading your blog and working on my Vintage Valentine pages. Like you, I'm feeling full of creative energy and can't stop having ideas I just HAVE to work on. I've committed to Daily Devotions for 2006, which involves doing an art/creative project a day, no matter how small. Right now I'm making zany Valentine cards and am loving it. I also decided to host an ATC Swap on the Sacred Feminine (just completed a zine on that theme). If anyone here wants to play, just let me know :-) Anyone looking for me will find me in my art room, when I'm not at work of course...

Blessings and a mega creative year to all.

I haven't really been away. In fact during the holidays, I have been updating my blog much more regularly. Let's see if I can keep that up ;)

I've also been drawing a lot, which I really need to get back to, in addition to the collage work. And I've been learning a bit flash animation and action scripting (!) Some day there will be animated birds and other creatures!

What else: the biggest love in my life is ballet, and I've been dancing everyday. It's been a great holiday :)

I've been growing a baby girl in my belly, writing my book, starting 52 figments, doing homework every night (??) with my kindergartener, reading to my 1 1/2 year old, teaching elementary art all day, and joining yahoo altered art groups. I love this idea! Thanks!

since it's been so grey in the midwest, I feel like I've been mostly hibernating (sleeping too much), but other than that. . . working on my vintage valentine page, making some mix CD covers, reading Anais Nin and the inspiring "Artist Journals and Sketchbooks" by Lynne Perrella.

(& I love your new look by the way!!)

I have been busy knitting, writing and painting. I've been reading your site regularly, but I rarely comment. I enjoy reading about your crafty paper projects! It is nice to have a source of inspiration.

Hello Joleen! I've spent the beginning of this year finishing my website and launching it! http://www.rosemarytravale.com
I'm so glad it's finally up! I've also been trying to create at least one piece of art every day. Not all of it is stellar work, but it's nice to do something creative on a daily basis.
And I went back to my illustration course at college this week. I'm glad to be back there.

I'd say that I was back, except that I just found your blog a few weeks ago. hehe Since the beginning of the year I've been fighting off a cold and making more things to sell in my boutique. It's been a struggle because I feel like after all the crafty craziness of Christmas is over I'm a little drained creatively. But it's coming back, hooray! :)

Oh Joleen, where do I begin?! It's been a whirlwind with kids going back to school (yay!), setting up the studio (yay!) and finally getting ready to redo the website!

I also just finished "A Million Little Pieces", and, oh my. Must digest that for a bit, you know? Hope all is well, and thanks again for the blog help! :D

okay, i'm adding this comment that was sent via email:

Yep I think we all have been busy. For me, I have been creating. Sewing and sewing, I made curtains for our new to us home. I am also working on making my own stamps and printing on canvas (think lotta jansdotter-just way not as cool as her) I am also working on illustration using cut paper. I have been faithfully reading your blog, and loving how you change the look so much. It is strange how much more involved and evolved one can become in just less than a year!
