I hope the temps reduce for you and soon you are much for comfortable.I cannot tolerate high heat.Living in air conditioning too.Blessings!Love Jeanne
It's not quite that hot here...it's hot! Just not 121! wow! Come over anytime I will make you and Alex a nice spaghetti dinner :)
Oh, sistah, I feel you're pain. And to think I thought it only got hot as hell in Phoenix.
Holy cats! I love ya but there is NO WAY I am visiting in summer. I'll see you in November, but in the meantime if you need to escape that heat (hell), come up my way and we'll hit the beach.
wow, that is really hot! I live in San Diego so it can get hot here too but... eh, I'm more of a winter or even spring person. I hope it cools down! :)Oh, and I redid my blog! Hope to see you there!
oh yuck! I guess I will stop complaining about the heat here because it is no where near that bad! stay cool!
oh yesit's pretty darn hotover herelike an oven
Oh, Joleen...you poor sticky baby! You bring back memories of living over there in Borrego Springs, where one summer it got up to 126! Ugh - don't go anywhere without your sunglasses and water! If you or Alex have to work outside, consider taking salt tablets. I hope you can put the car where it stays cool...some of my most painful memories are of touching a burning hot steering wheel and car seat! I'll cross my fingers it cools down, and that your AC never breaks down!
WOW!!!here in Texas it has been 107 for ten days...
not so hot here. but i think fudge bars sound like a perfect dinner idea!!!
lol your post made me laugh.
Oh you poor thing! Ugh! That is AWFUL! Hope this week cools off a bit for you guys!
121!!!! yikes! i might stay in the tub all day...a tub with ice cubes...
laughingand yeh...the fudge bar thing ?I can totally relate. Once I get started on those... and as hot as it has been....I'm with ya.We were 119.I had the same thoughts. I was going around all day saying "Man , it is SO HOT"...Like I was having some big revelation every two minutes that did not include anyone else .Yeh so, getting another fudge bar now.Cheers.
damn that's hot!!!! It's been 95-104 here with no AC!!!!! Its very very hot!
I'm with you on the fudge bars! I'm sorry it's so hot there. It's a bummer not to have a choice where to live, but at least you have jobs your love and your home is beautiful. I'd invite you over for a visit, but it's been over 110 here for days. Today, it's only 9:50 in the morning, and already it's 98 with 47 percent humidity. It doesn't reach peak here until the afternoon, so I know we're in for a scorcher. Here's the kicker....last night our a/c went out. The repair company can't even be here until NEXT WEDNESDAY!!!!!!!! :Yeah, we're having fun here too. Sarah was supposed to get chicken and wild rice for dinner tonight along with her spice cake and purple cream cheese frosting to celebrate her bday, as tomorrow she leaves for spa camp and won't be here to celebrate. I just broke the news to here, that she might have to wait for that dinner. I don't think I want to turn on the oven! We'll see. Love you.....Stay cool
we just moved to oakland during the heatwave. our tv was in a box. no internet. no access to the news. and i swear we were wondering if this sort of heat was normal or if we were just working up a sweat unpacking! my god. 121 degrees!
OH My God, Its too much hot..............amazing for me
Joleen Joleen, come in from the heat, and post some more pretty pictures!! xo --L.
121?! I didn't think it was possible for anywhere on Earth to get that hot! Best wishes on staying cool!!
fudge bars are my favorite. in fact, i forgot how much i loved them until i read this post. i think i shall partake in your fudge bar dinner substitution just because it sounds yummy. 121 degrees is not right...it is inhumane.in nyc there has been a heat index of 113 nearly everyday this week, and now at 11am it is in the high 90s, but I can't imagine it EVER being any hotter. I think I would have to substitute all of my meals with delicious fudge bars. i love your blog. and i love your name...it reminds me of dolly parton's song "jolene"...:)
I find one method for cooling down when the temp hits 100+ degrees is to go out and sit in my car - no AC, windows rolled up. After just a few minutes, 20?, I get out and enjoy the cooler air. LOL
