I hope the temps reduce for you and soon you are much for comfortable. I cannot tolerate high heat. Living in air conditioning too. Blessings! Love Jeanne
Holy cats! I love ya but there is NO WAY I am visiting in summer. I'll see you in November, but in the meantime if you need to escape that heat (hell), come up my way and we'll hit the beach.
wow, that is really hot! I live in San Diego so it can get hot here too but... eh, I'm more of a winter or even spring person. I hope it cools down! :)
Oh, Joleen...you poor sticky baby! You bring back memories of living over there in Borrego Springs, where one summer it got up to 126! Ugh - don't go anywhere without your sunglasses and water! If you or Alex have to work outside, consider taking salt tablets. I hope you can put the car where it stays cool...some of my most painful memories are of touching a burning hot steering wheel and car seat! I'll cross my fingers it cools down, and that your AC never breaks down!
we just moved to oakland during the heatwave. our tv was in a box. no internet. no access to the news. and i swear we were wondering if this sort of heat was normal or if we were just working up a sweat unpacking! my god. 121 degrees!
in fact, i forgot how much i loved them until i read this post.
i think i shall partake in your fudge bar dinner substitution just because it sounds yummy.
121 degrees is not right...it is inhumane.
in nyc there has been a heat index of 113 nearly everyday this week, and now at 11am it is in the high 90s, but I can't imagine it EVER being any hotter. I think I would have to substitute all of my meals with delicious fudge bars.
i love your blog. and i love your name...it reminds me of dolly parton's song "jolene"...:)
I find one method for cooling down when the temp hits 100+ degrees is to go out and sit in my car - no AC, windows rolled up. After just a few minutes, 20?, I get out and enjoy the cooler air.
