keep it in your mouth or in goes in the trash

Oh my goodness- IT happened. We were in the car and I gave her a piece of gum. When we were getting out I saw she was playing with it and in that split second, without thinking + right on cue I said, "Keep it in your mouth or in goes in the trash". In the same tone. The same matter-of-fact manner. I swear to you it was my mom that said it, not me!

My mom is probably basking in the sun right now in Hawaii so there is a chance she won't read this and take offense. If you do read this mom, you know what I mean. :D

HILARIOUS!!!!! I didn't even know you had a kid! My kids get in trouble all the time about gum. I shouldn't even give them any.

You're funny, Joleen!
I find myself saying things I swore I'd never say, i.e.:

• Did you know that there are children starving in other countries....blah blah blah (said when my kids are being picky).

So funny!!!

And when you have kids, you'll be so ready having already "tested the waters!" That's so wonderful!

I've the same problem as you ! I swear to you, sometimes I can look like my mom in my own words, expreesions and thoughts! Speccially when it comes with kidding with my dad. I use expressions like :" what the well have you today? did you bumped your head or somethin A.? You seem in a good mood..." or "yes dear... yes you are absolutly right" but i don't ear a thing. My dad goes crazy and shout: " you two are equal!" . :P

Well, I am knee deep in a week's worth of work here in the office, but I did take a moment to notice that you not only missed me while I was , yes, basking in the Hawaiin sun, (you should see my tan!), but continued on my good work here at home. Personally, I'm glad I pop out in you once in awhile. Now I know you were listening! :) Hugs.....
