depression

depression
acrylic painting on 12" x 12" woodblock.

I made this painting last night. It's a completely different style than I've ever done and I really like it. It's hard to explain but I felt so free doing this. There were no rules; no "staying-in-the-lines". I really enjoyed creating this. I know the topic is grim but I think it's honest and beautiful.

i like it! she looks like she is just about going to break free from the depression too. there is something that says she is hopefull, even if she is depressed.

i like the style too!

I see hope too, and a lot of determination.

It looks so much like oil pastels, very nice!

I really like the colors but I don't see a depressed person. I see someone who looks perplexed or confused. Oh well art is in the eys of the beholder.
As usual your work shows expression!
