{this 'n that}

may-3
thank you for being so supportive of my latest [self] challenge. i'm afraid i've been bit of a boring read lately so i'm glad you still come back. day three of the {month of moi}. i really love blurry photographs. especially of children- when they're running around outside and you can see the movement, even with the bright, natural light; or they're just playing and not staying still (you know how children are). these make up some of my very favorite photographs like this one.

since there are so many new people here i thought i'd mention that i co-publish a mixed media art zine, called portals with my friend, heather. anyway, you can check it out at the website but i just wanted to remind every one that we're currently accepting submissions for the 2nd issue until may 15th. we're looking for high quality photographs/scans of your doll themed artwork
- stuffies, assemblages, danglies, collages, paper creations, etc. you can read more about the specifics of submitting your art here and your article ideas here. thank you for your interest!

also, please don't forget about our other contest, which you can read about here or by clicking on the "save lids, save lives" button on the sidebar.

and without further ado.. the winner of the birdy woodblock painting is ...
kelli
from arizona.

please email me with your mailing address at joleenieweenie AT hotmail DOT com. congratulations! thanks for playing, everyone! i loved getting to know a little more about you.

Yeah, the best blurries are of children. It captures the reality of energy they exude.
